Who is Dr. Evans Rono?

Dr. Evans Rono (DER), founded "DERGermanConnect, Connecting with Data & Science" in Berlin, to serve as a focal point where individuals, businesses, and organizations can access personalized guidance and expertise in navigating the realms of data and science, fostering meaningful connections, insights, and collaborations.

Dr. Rono is a Kenyan national with a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Humboldt University zu Berlin, supported by the DAAD Scholarship from 2013 to 2017.

His science background includes research at the Max Planck Institute of Infection Biology, Vector Biology Unit focusing on the genetic structure of vector populations and its impact on malaria transmission in sub-Saharan Africa. With diagnostic industry experience in Berlin, he addresses global challenges like protein shortages and sustainable farming using genetic engineering and Data Science.

Proficient in Python, R, SQL, ML, and Tableau, Dr. Rono transforms biological data into strategic insights and actively participates in mentorship programs.
